Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer (0.5 – 0.75 mm) that covers the labial or buccal surface of the tooth for aesthetic purposes. Most frequently they are used on the six front teeth, between canines. Veneers are applied in discolored teeth, teeth with enamel defects, dark teeth or with visible fillings. Often used in slight bite defects, unequal shape or diastema.
Veneers may be fabricated out of composite and dental porcelain.
